Working under the direction of the Engineering Manager, directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority over the planning, design, inspection, control, integration and completion of District-wide capital projects and operational programs for the water and wastewater utility systems, recreation facility improvements, and environmental or erosion control projects. Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and the public. Requires: BA/BS in Civil Engineering and 5 years of related experience, including project management and supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of and/or experience with the Tahoe Basin regulatory process is preferred. A valid Driver's License is required, and registration as a P.E. in the State of NV or the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire. Proficiency in MS Office, hydraulic modeling, AutoCAD, and ArcView GIS, as well as knowledge of NV public bidding and procurement requirements. A District application and resume are required.
