Performs a variety of journeyman level maintenance and repair tasks under the supervision of a lead mechanic. Maintains, diagnoses, repairs, and overhauls vehicles, specialty and miscellaneous equipment at all District repair facilities. Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, recordkeeping, troubleshooting and diagnostic skills; Requires: Completion of a two-year mechanic trade school or equivalent mechanic cert; or two years of related experience involving direct hands-on repair and maintenance of a variety of equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid Driver's License. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certs are helpful. Schedule includes evenings, weekends, holidays & OT as assigned. Rate: $34.43 - $48.21/hr. DOE/DOQ.
